JW Bespoke Living is a furniture business run by father and son team John and Matthew Weetman.
John has been in the business his whole working life and the pair joined forces in 2021 – but they suffered a major setback in October 2023 when their workshop in Woodhouse Eaves was destroyed by a fire.
They are now rebuilding the business at new premises in Rothley.
"Unfortunately, we lost everything in the fire," said John. "That includes personal tools from when I was an apprentice at 15.
"It was absolutely devastating for both of us, but we decided to keep going and we're just about getting back on our feet.
"It's been a really, really, really tough, tough 12 months and sometimes quite emotional as well."
Matthew added: "When we lost everything in the fire, we didn't just lose tools, we lost a lot of work and materials. Everyone was very good about it, and we've made good on a lot of stuff, but that comes at a cost as well.
"But it's good now and we've got quite a lot of work in."
JW Bespoke Living is the latest business to give their backing to the Shop Charnwood campaign.
"I've lived in Charnwood for 45 years," said John. "I know Charnwood and it is important that people support their local businesses."
Matthew said: "It keeps the money in the local economy as well. Most of our suppliers are local suppliers. If we can get it from a local supplier, we'll get it from a local supplier.
"I grew up in the area and for me it makes sense to support local people."
