Thrussington's Village Store

Thrussington's Village Store has been serving the people of the village and Charnwood for over 12 years.

Owner, Jo Meacock, has seen the business expand in that time with them now offering a delicatessen, gift shop and café to customers.

At the centre of the community, the Village Store offers a great space for local people to visit, socialise and buy local products.

The business has a real emphasis on stocking local produce which includes working with Hambleton Bakery, Clarkes of Queniborough, Samosa Wallah and Two Chimps. They also make their own delicious cakes in store!

Thrussington's Village Store also boasts a gift shop for people to buy greetings cards, pictures and ornaments.

Jo Meacock said: "When you are supporting our store, you are also supporting 25 to 30 local businesses which we stock here.

"We employ local people to help serve the local community so has really become a hub here in Thrussington."

On taking part in the Shop Charnwood campaign, Jo said: "This campaign is really important as we are still experiencing tough times as businesses as we are currently in a cost-of-living crisis and coming out of the pandemic.

"Local businesses and high streets are vital to the local economy and the community as a whole. I would encourage everyone to support the campaign and their local businesses."
